My rate is $20 per hour plus any costs for postage, copies, and travel time (if necessary), and the initial consult is free. I am happy to provide you with a work plan and estimate before you agree to anything. I typically ask for $20 up front, as "earnest" money.

About Me:
I have been doing genealogy research since 1998, starting first with my own ancstors and then moving on to my husband's and then other people's. For the last several years, I have been volunteering as a genealogist with my local historical societies, Historic Shepherdstown & Museum and the Jefferson County Historical Society, answering inquiries and writing a regular column for the JCHS' newsletter. Since 2000, I have been a volunteer with the Tompkins County NYGenWeb website; I'm now the webmaster and co-coordinator with my two cohorts. I have been doing genealogy professionally for two years.

Education:
I have an MBA from Thunderbird, the American Graduate School of International Management. My undergraduate degree is in German and Political Science from the State University of New York at Albany. I spent my last two years at a University in Germany. I speak and write German fairly well, although I am no longer fluent.
